Mine Pearl and Ycash
on your Mac.
Pearly is a native Mac app that puts your GPU to work mining Pearl (PRL) and Ycash (YEC). Built for the M5 generation of Apple silicon.
Coming soonWhat it does
Two coins, one switch
Mine Pearl, a proof-of-useful-work coin built on matrix math, or Ycash, on Equihash. Switch any time; each coin keeps its own address, pool and worker name.
Runs on the GPU's matrix units
Pearl's proof of work is matrix multiplication, so Pearly runs it as int8 tensor operations on the neural accelerators in M5-generation GPUs.
A real Mac app
Live hashrate graph, accepted shares, power draw and a daily estimate, plus a menu bar readout. It picks up mining the coin you left it on.
Checked before it's sent
Every Pearl share is verified on your Mac with Pearl's own verifier before it goes to the pool, so it never sends a proof that doesn't check out.
On an M5 Max
PearlPRL
YcashYEC
Measured by the developer on a MacBook Pro with M5 Max, plugged in, using the Energy Mode setting in System Settings → Battery (High Power is offered on some Macs only). Low Power does about half the work for about a third of the power. High Power speeds up Ycash but not Pearl: Pearl already runs as fast as the Mac can keep cool in Automatic, while Ycash is held back there by a lower GPU clock. Power is the GPU and its memory, as Pearly reports it. Other Macs vary; M1 to M4 have no int8 matrix units and run Pearl at a small fraction of this speed.
Requirements
- macOS 26 or later. Pearly uses Metal 4 tensor operations.
- An Apple silicon Mac. Built and tested on M5 Max; other M5 chips scale with their GPU core count. Intel Macs aren't supported.
- A wallet address for the coin you mine: a Pearl address (
prl1…) or a Ycash address. - A pool. Pearly starts with Kryptex for Pearl and daPool for Ycash; you can change either.
